Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to your use of this website and to painting and decorating work carried out by Visual Effect Painting & Decorating Perth ("Visual Effect", "we", "us"). By using this site or engaging us for work, you agree to them.

Quotes

Quotes are free and provided in writing after an on-site visit. A written quote sets out the scope, the preparation included, the products used and a fixed price for that scope. Unless stated otherwise, a quote is valid for 30 days. Work outside the quoted scope (for example extra repairs found once we start) is discussed with you and quoted separately before it goes ahead.

Our work

We carry out work with proper preparation and care, using the products set out in your quote, including premium Dulux finishes as standard. We are fully insured, and a certificate of currency is available on request. We aim to keep to the agreed timeline and to leave the site tidy at the end of each day.

Your responsibilities

To let us work safely and on time, we ask that you provide reasonable access to the property, clear or move fragile and valuable items from work areas where practical, and let us know about anything we should be aware of, such as known hazards, pets or other trades on site.

Payment

Payment terms are set out on your quote or invoice. For larger jobs a deposit or progress payments may apply, and this is agreed with you before the job starts. Invoices are due by the date shown on them.

Workmanship

Our work comes with a workmanship warranty. If something we did fails within the warranty period due to our workmanship, we will come back and put it right. The warranty does not cover normal wear, damage caused after the job, problems with surfaces or structures outside our scope, or issues caused by work done by others.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any one job is limited to re-performing the work or refunding the amount paid for it.

This website

This website is provided for general information about our services. We take care to keep it accurate, but prices, availability and details can change, and nothing on the site is a binding offer until confirmed in a written quote.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
